When we speak about video games and television shows, we think about fun but do they have something in common?

-They are both forms of entertainment that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

They can both be used to kill time.

There are a lot of video games that are based on television shows and vice versa.

-The Witcher-

-The Simpsons-

-South Park-

and

These games are usually very faithful to the shows that they are based on.

They include all of the characters, locations, and jokes that fans of the shows would expect.

Those were things that are in common, but what about differences?

TV Shows

-TV shows are typically scrypted and have a set story line

-They are typically episodic

-However video games are typically not scrypted and have an open world ( most of them )

-They typically have side quests and other activities to do in addition to the main story line

This trend is likely to continue in the future, as both forms of entertainment become more and more popular.
